Alan Lancaster was the one true heart of Quo. He left when they sold their soul to the world of pop music. Yes ‘Rocking all over the world’ and ‘In the army now’ were lovely, but no more Caroline or 45 hundred times. Rossi & Parfitt sold their soul to the devil.

Great to see this good old stuff ! Saw them two weeks ago in Greven/Germany and it was a pleasure to see them rocking very well, but mostly Ricks voice were missing. The new members do very well, but Leon is not Rick... But they should better let Leon sing Rick's Vocals than Rhino, Leon is in my opinion the better singer. Rhino is the engine in the machineroom of Status Quo and he pushes very well, but the vocals don't fit so good in the music.

This is the real Quo not the cabaret act they are now. Sorry but "Living on an island", "in the army now" are just mush.

I have 4500 Times on vinyl and every time I listened to it I'd think "that sounds like two different songs" and then I heard or read an interview where they said it's exactly that. They came in with scraps of this and that they'd written and mashed it together
